Overview
The course comprises the theoretical and practical content and can also be tailored to meet specific Company/Organisation requirements.
Training will focus on the key areas of personal safety and security including situational awareness, general crime in PNG, and road crime including robbery and carjacking. Training is locally contextualised and suitable for employees and contractors who are new in-country, as well as spouses, dependents, or anyone else that would benefit from increased situational and driving/ travelling awareness to help navigate the challenges of living and working in PNG.
This course will give attendees an understanding of the security risks associated with living and working in PNG and provide information to mitigate security risk by being situationally aware, participants will also perform high risk driving skills.

Cost
The cost of this course is based on a per-participant basis. However, individual prices can be negotiated for group bookings. The minimum number of attendees is 6, and the maximum is 12.
The course fee includes morning and afternoon tea, lunch, drinks throughout the day, as well as the hire of the tarmac area and role players for scenario-based training.
Delivery
The HEAT course is delivered over a full day, (6-8 hours) and includes a morning of theory training. The afternoon is dedicated to the practical driving component of the course, where participants will perform high speed breaking, reverse slalom training and each participant will take part in scenario training exercises.
