Overview
This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies and provide a first aid response to a casualty in a range of situations. The course comprises the theoretical and practical content and PDTI is accredited to deliver this course under registration and endorsement of St John, PNG, the training is delivered and assessed under Australian standards (Provide basic emergency life support).
Units
This course is accredited and certificates are issued with 3 years validity.
HLTAID 010 Provide basic emergency life support.
- Respond to an emergency situation.
- Apply appropriate first aid procedures
- Communicate details of the incident
- Review the incident
Cost
The cost of this course is based on a per participant basis, however, prices per individual can be negotiated on group bookings. The minimum number of course attendees per course is 10 people and the maximum number per course is set at 20 people.
Option 1:
- Location: PDTI venue
- Inclusions: AM/PM tea, lunch
- Price: K500 per person
Option 2:
- Location: Client venue
- Inclusions: No catering
- Price: K450 per person
Delivery
This course is delivered over a full day, (8 hours) and includes a both theory and practical training sessions. Participants will be required to undergo a workbook theory assessment and practical assessment in order to demonstrate competency.
